What are your prizes and who will decide the winners?
A panel of highly respected visiting artists from around the country will observe each installation and decide the winners of the GRAND PRIZE ($1,500). Attendees will vote for the AUDIENCE PRIZE ($1,000). The Emberlight Board of Directors will award the Emberlight Prize ($500) to the exhibit that best exemplifies our 2021 festival theme, "Light Your Fire."
What is the deadline for submissions?
Our early bird deadline is March 31, 2021 at 11:59pm CT.
What is the registration fee?
The early bird registration fee is $25. Applications must be received by March 31, 2021 to receive early bird pricing.
Where will Art in the Park take place?
Art in the Park is hosted by the Miners Memorial Heritage Park, a 167 acre park in the middle of Ironwood, Michigan; designed as a memorial to the iron miners that built the region.
When will you announce the winners?
On Friday, September 3rd, the winners of our prizes will be announced and all of our featured artists will be celebrated at Ironwood's City Square amongst the monthly First Friday festivities.
When will the artists set up and take down their installations?
Artists will be allowed to set up their installations starting June 26. The Emberlight Festival will announce specific times that volunteers will be available to help load in materials. (Please note: Motorized vehicles are not allowed in the Miners Memorial Heritage Park.)
